The Story:
Summertime has always been my favorite time of year! The warmer weather, longer days, cuter clothes, and the extra time I get to spend with family and friends make me long for summer days all year around. I knew I wanted to do a special photo shoot with my two year old this summer to capture some of the things I love about the season.
As you know, two year olds can be a very challenging to photograph and get natural expressions from. My two year old, Tristan, has been very anti-camera lately so I knew I needed to make his photo shoot extra fun to "trick" him into cooperating! haha! One of his favorite toys right now is this vintage inspired scooter (which he calls his "bike"). By using this for the photo shoot (and coordinating his outfit to it) I got some great smiles and reactions from him. To get a few more minutes out of him I topped the photo shoot off with a few snacks. Watermelon and cookies are always a great way to wrap up a shoot! =P I found this beautiful spot that got the most gorgeous light and of course some big clouds rolled in right before we started. Bummer! Even though we didn't get the sunny weather I love I think it turned out pretty great!
